For action manga standards, action sequences are sometimes convoluted and the exaggerated poses can make it hard to know what's going on.

i feel a problem in jojolion is that the hishahigata is supposed to be the central pilar of jojolion but the kids get sidetracked so much in favour of fights that are longer than they need to be and characters that get introduced from nowhere. In Araki's book, "Manga in theory and practice" (good read by the way,) he demonstrates how he personally draws his people, describing it as the most efficient way for him, and the best way to get a grasp on good facial structure. He does not start his head sketches with circles at all, which is quite interesting.
